Phoenix Brighton has come together with Moksha Caffe to curate a year round selection of artists work from the Phoenix Studios.
This exhibition presents paintings by artist June Frickleton.
June is a practicing artist and curator based in Brighton. As a curator her arts curating and consultancy firm, Frickleton Fine Art, curates and delivers exhibitions for a variety of business clients including long term clients DMH Stallard and Liberty Property trust, Kent.
She uses a personal vocabulary to create sumptuous paintings. The paintings have a strong visual impact that is heightened by the use of a reduced palatte.
This series of paintings marries an obsession with the process of painting and a fascination with religious imagery. The paintings are created using many different techniques and are influenced by religious imagery and spiritually significant sites.
